Johnsburg senior Zach Toussaint, an NCAA Division II West Texas A&M commit, scored 36 points and made seven 3-pointers as the Skyhawks handed Marengo a 59-46 defeat Thursday in the teams' Kishwaukee River Conference game in Marengo.
Toussaint had 15 points in the first quarter, including three 3s, and ended the half with 20 points. Johnsburg (3-2, 1-0 KRC) led, 31-24, at halftime. Toussaint had four more threes and 14 points in the third as the Skyhawks pulled ahead, 47-39. He finished 7 of 8 from the free-throw line.
Backing up Toussaint in the win were Josh Notriano with eight points and two 3s and Gibson Groves with seven points.
Aiden Smith led the Indians (3-7, 0-2) with 15 points on the strength of five 3s, Brady Cannon had 11 points and three 3s, and Matthew Volkening added eight points.
Stillman Valley 58, Woodstock North 57: At Stillman Valley, Ryan Schaffter had a game-high 23 points and four 3s for the Thunder (3-4) in a nonconference loss. Cole Brey added 10 points, and Bradley Baseggio had nine points and two 3s.
Burlington Central 78, Richmond-Burton 37: At Burlington, the host Rockets (6-3, 1-0) held R-B to 14 second-half points in a KRC win. Patrick Mayfield scored 29 points, including 21 in the first half, for Burlington. R-B is 2-6, 0-1.
Huntley 44, Jacobs 18: At Huntley, the Red Raiders rolled past the Golden Eagles to stay undefeated in Fox Valley Conference duals. David Ferrante (182 pounds) earned a pin in 25 seconds and was one of four Raiders with pins, along with Sam Spencer (126), Nik Wise (220) and Matt Burba (285).
Ryder Hunkins (152) and Gannon Kosowski (160) won by major decision for Huntley (14-1, 5-0), and Jake Jensen (106) and Jeremy Jakowitsch (138) won by decision.

Prairie Ridge 51, Hampshire 26: At Prairie Ridge, the Whip-Purs jumped out to a 9-0 lead on Prairie Ridge, but the Wolves still won easily in an FVC dual. Prairie Ridge (5-4, 2-3) was helped by four forfeit victories.
Beau Smith (106), Tommy Evans (170), Matt Loucks (220) and Riley Smith (285) all won by pin for Prairie Ridge, and Drake Regenhardt won by decision.
