Crystal Lake Central's wrestling team picked up 11 pins Wednesday in a sweep against Kaneland and Harvard in Crystal Lake.
The Tigers (8-6) defeated Kaneland, 58-18, and Harvard, 61-12. Brenden Parks was 2-0 with a pair of pins at 160 pounds for Central, and Andrew Hopkins (126 pounds), Michael Locascio (138), and Brock Montford (195) each finished 2-0 with a pin. Montford also had a major decision.
Also recording pins for the Tigers were Dillon Carlson (113), Carlos Zamudio (120), Caden Ernd (152), Julian Ryerson (182), Andrew Hudec (220) and Brian Fuentes (285).
Harvard's Nik Jimenez (120) had the only pin for the Hornets against Central. Bryce Fiegel (106) won by forfeit. Harvard, which did not face Kaneland, is 13-3.
Johnsburg 3,259, Rockford Lutheran 2,697: At Raymond's Bowl in Johnsburg, senior Tony Murtaugh rolled a match-high 647 series and 245 game to lead the Skyhawks past the Crusaders. Murtaugh also had games of 205 and 197.
Noah Clements rolled a 624 series with games of 244 and 214. Cody Onopa had a 537 series with a high of 219, and Cade Wizceb added a 509 for Johnsburg.
Rockford Lutheran 2,399, Johnsburg 2,289: At Raymond's Bowl in Johnsburg, senior Miranda Hopp bowled a team-best 502 series and 180 game in the Skyhawks' loss to the Crusaders.
Skyler Salzman added a 390 series, Toria Blake had a 377, and Jessica Meyer had a 375 for Johnsburg. Rockford Lutheran's Melanie Horn had the high series (522) and high game (200) of the match.
