Randall Road retaining wall construction to start in January

Utility work related to the $46 million Randall Road widening project is expected to start back up after the new year.

Construction of a retaining wall north of Harnish Drive on the east side of Randall Road, which is part of the first phase of the multiyear project, also is expected to begin in January.

The McHenry County Division of Transportation identified Randall Road improvements as a key project necessary to relieve congestion in the north-south corridor of the county and sustain regional mobility in the area.

Crews once again are advising motorists to travel through work zones with caution.
