Guard Zach Toussaint led Johnsburg with 43 points in a 90-74 nonconference win over Marian Central on Monday in Johnsburg.
The Skyhawks (8-5) trailed by six at halftime before rallying in the second half.
Toussaint made 13 field goals, including four 3s. He shot 13 of 16 from the free-throw line. His 43 points were not a season-high. He scored 51 in a season-opening loss to Wauconda on Nov. 19.
He scored a career-high 52 points last season in a win at Wilmot, Wisconsin (Wisconsin schools play 36-minute regulation games, whereas IHSA games are 32 minutes). Toussaint is averaging 27.8 points a game this season.
Monday’s 90 points were a season high for the Skyhawks as a team. Gibson Groves scored 20 points for Johnsburg, and Joe Comstock added 11 points.
For Marian (1-16), Ben Moscinski led the way with 27 points. Moscinski made nine field goals, including four 3s. Jake Hurley scored 15 points, and Brogan Pivnicka added eight points.
Berean Baptist 59, Alden-Hebron 55: At Hebron, Brad Judson scored 24 points and had eight rebounds for the Giants in a loss to Berean Baptist.
Alden-Hebron 45, Berean Baptist 20: At Hebron, Kendra Cashmore scored 17 points for the Giants in a nonconference win over Berean Baptist. Cashmore hit seven field goals and shot 3 of 6 from the free-throw line.
Eden Wanderer scored seven points, and Kylee Winter added six for A-H (12-3).
McHenry 3,155, Larkin 1,847: At Elgin Lanes, Jacob McLean led McHenry with a 567 series in a win over Larkin. Dalton Atwater had the high game with a 237, finishing his series at 558.
Meier Glab bowled a 551 series for McHenry. Cam Begley bowled a 530, Drew Litcher rolled a 477, and Shane McCue added a 472.
