The patio at Tracks Bar and Grill is a popular haunt in the summer months.
Soon it could be the neighborhood’s favorite dining spot open all year long.
The decades-old burger joint at 108 Main St. in Cary is angling to build a roof over the outdoor patio to make it a four-season dining area, said Cary Mayor Mark Kownick.
Tracks owners could not be reached for comment, but Kownick confirmed they are in the permitting process. Village officials have already approved the project.
“We continue to see our businesses and restaurants expand in our downtown district,” Kownick said. “It’s awesome to have these great community-oriented businesses continue to make Cary a destination.”
“We continue to expand throughout our village with great economic development opportunities,” Kownick said. “The village of Cary is open for business.”
Known best for its large variety of big burgers and beers, the popular family restaurant has been open for more than three decades in Cary.
