To the Editor:
Here in Algonquin Township, winter has worn out its welcome. So has Andrew Gasser. He has been wrong for this job from Day 1, when he fired experienced staff just because of their connection to the former highway commissioner, and ran afoul of their union contracts.
He has wasted my, and other taxpayers’ money, on needless legal expenditures.
He bought salt at about $30 a ton higher than if he had followed proper bidding procedure.
And finally, he somehow has arranged to spend part of winter farther south in a warmer location. To borrow a phrase from New York sports fans, “Trow da bum out.”
