Spring Grove police have arrested a woman and her son after seizing thousands of grams of marijuana products and cash from their home, police said in a news release.
Brandon M. Pope was charged with manufacturing and delivery of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to the release. His mother, Janet F. Pope, was charged with aggravated battery of a police officer and resisting a police officer in connection with the incident, police said.
Spring Grove police executed a search warrant Feb. 16 in the 7700 block of Utility Court, Spring Grove. Police had investigated the matter for a month before obtaining the warrant.
Police seized 2,300 grams of marijuana and marijuana plant materials, 800 grams of marijuana resin, marijuana-growing equipment, paraphernalia and more than $9,500 in cash from the home, police said.
Janet Pope was released from jail after posting 10 percent of her $4,000 bond. Brandon Pope was released on a $20,000 recognizance bond, police said.
Brandon Pope is expected back in court March 6, and Janet Pope is expected to return March 29.
If convicted of the most serious charge, Janet Pope could face three to seven years in prison. Brandon Pope could face two to five years in prison.
The investigation is ongoing, and more charges are pending, police said.
