To the Editor;
A March 14 Letter to the Editor titled “Reward good service” gave credit to one Spring Grove trustee for accomplishments that took a lot of people to get done.
For instance, the grants for the bike path along Winn Road were awarded because of the efforts of the village clerk and administrative staff with the support of the entire board. It was not a one-man effort.
Nor was the winter snow cleanup, which is accomplished through the commitment of public works crews working all hours of the day and night. And although several members of our Village Board voiced support for the stoplight at Route 173 and Wilmot Road, that is a Fox Lake project, not ours.
Although it certainly is important to understand the accurate experience of the candidates, it is equally if not more important to understand the vision each candidate has for the future.
In Spring Grove, there are three candidates – Kelly Popelka, Michael Lee and Jeff Letzter – who clearly have stated their goals and vision for our future on their individual Facebook discussion page.
All are passionate about keeping property taxes and making it easier to live in the village by responsibly expanding commercial and residential development.
I encourage you to learn about the candidates and then join me in voting for Kelly, Mike and Jeff on April 2.
