To the Editor:

After reading the rant against Ted Nugent by Democratic Party of McHenry County Chairwoman Kristina Zahorik, and finding myself laughing in disbelief, I found it necessary to ask a question: What does she really dislike about Nuge?

And I came up with these points:

He’s a Republican; he supports President Donald Trump; he’s honest and outspoken in his beliefs; he supports the U.S. Constitution; he’s a life member of the National Rifle Association; he speaks out against those who would degrade our country; and, to me, all of these items point to a good citizen.

What is her problem, other than being a member of the Democratic Party, which seems to try and tear down America at every possible turn, i.e., more taxes, voter fraud, “sanctuary cities”? (I don’t see a single city with a Republican mayor supporting illegal aliens over citizens).

Maybe she should look at ways to help McHenry County. Nugent possibly will be the largest draw our fair has ever seen. Maybe she should take a poll of the 4-H members in the county.
