Crystal Lake businesses to collect purses for Turning Point

Two local businesses are collecting new or gently used purses to donate to women at Turning Point.

Edward Jones and 416 Pilates, located in Suites 101 and 107, respectively, at 650 E. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake, are accepting purses through April 30.

The purses will then be packed with toiletries and personal items and will be donated by May 12, according to a flyer from the businesses. Donations of personal items, including tweezers, nail files, nail clippers, makeup remover, deodorant, lotion and small mirrors also will be accepted.

For information, call Edward Jones at 815-459-6518 or 416 Pilates at 815-414-6600.

Turning Point is a nonprofit that helps confront violence against women and children in McHenry County.
