Traffic on Randall Road will be reduced to one lane in each direction through Friday to allow for the installation of a storm sewer north of Acorn Lane in Lake in the Hills.
Reductions will be between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Motorists are advised to plan accordingly.
The storm sewer installation is part of a multiyear plan to widen Randall Road and reduce congestion in one of the busiest corridors in McHenry County.
According to traffic reports performed by McHenry County in 2016 as part of the project, McHenry County assistant engineer Jeff Young said, more than 80,000 cars a day travel through the nearby intersection of Randall and Algonquin roads.
