To the Editor:
My physical body dances to the tune of my often ego-driven mind. I take in scenes of anger and greed on screens of many kinds. My mind sorts them out, but fear creeps in and I feel as if I may fall.
The news and the screens tell a sad tale. How can I survive it all?
The world seems to be an angry place with sadness often breaking my heart. Yet my spirit whispers calming songs, and once more I can restart.
Each day gets worse. The violence spreads to all corners. Screens shout out through talking heads, and we pray like dutiful mourners.
Yet softly, so softly, the heart speaks. The heart and soul as one. It reminds us we are loved to the end by God and His beloved Son.
We must realize that our minds are computers that run our lives. But it is the heart through which our soul speaks and empathy survives.
