A man has died after a Saturday night motorcycle crash, a fire official said.
The Woodstock Fire/Rescue District responded about 11:45 p.m. Saturday to Bull Valley Road near Blackberry Lane to handle the incident. The motorcycle was the only vehicle involved, Woodstock Fire Capt. Brendan Parker said.
First responders took the man to Northwestern Medicine McHenry Hospital in critical condition, he said. The man later died, the McHenry County Coroner’s office confirmed Sunday.
There is a sharp curve in the road in that area, which may have contributed to the crash, Parker said.
“We unfortunately have frequent accidents there,” he said.
Deputy Coroner Orlando Portillo said an autopsy of the victim was completed Sunday but declined to give more information immediately.
The Bull Valley Police Department is handling the investigation, he said. The department couldn’t be reached for comment Sunday.
