The Algonquin-based School District 300 Board is set to meet Tuesday to vote on authorizing its tentative 2019-20 budget at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. The meeting will be at the district’s central office at 2550 Harnish Drive, Algonquin.
The fiscal 2020 operating funds budget has a projected revenue of $277,797,168.
The district’s projected expenditures are $276,742,422. This means there is a projected surplus of $1,054,746.
The fiscal 2019 operating funds budget had an ending fund blance of $98,030,885. The district had $266,309,337 in revenue. Out of this, $168,642,316 came from from property taxes, according to the agenda packet.
The district also had $264,960,351 in expenditures in the fiscal 2019 operating budget.
Items on the agenda also include discussion about summer 2020 facility projects.
These facility projects include roof repairs and replacement, asbestos abatement and flooring replacement, the addition of classrooms and a teacher lounge upgrade.
District 300 is made up of students from Kane, McHenry, Cook and DeKalb counties.
