Marengo police are investigating a stabbing that happened Monday in the area of Prospect Street and East Grant Highway.
Officers were called to the area about 2 a.m. in reference to a stabbing victim, police said.
They found a 28-year-old man in the 600 block of East Grant Highway who had multiple stab wounds.
The man was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, police said.
Andrew Kjellgren, a patrol officer with the Marengo Police Department, said the stabbing is believed to be an isolated incident, and there is no risk to the public at this time.
The investigation is ongoing. No charges have been filed, Kjellgren said.
