To the Editor:
We can’t avoid it. It’s all around us. We have to deal with it. Once, it preferred to reside in the shadows for fear of being exposed. Now, evil has come out boldly in the open, celebrating itself.
The feeling of shame is becoming extinct. Truth is being ignored or misrepresented. It’s no wonder – remove God and his principles out of our government, out of our schools, out of our homes, and we leave ourselves with no moral higher authority. We are left with only our own varied personal opinions on what is right or wrong. This allows bad behavior to become acceptable.
“And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually,” (Genesis 6:5).
Today, who could imagine that a former attorney general would put the safety of our border patrol agents at risk? Who could imagine that a former president would put the safety of our police officers at risk? Who could imagine that one of our political parties would rather protect criminals and put the safety of our citizens at risk by ignoring our immigration laws, forming sanctuary cities and desiring “open borders?”
In a country where the pursuit of life is protected, who could have imagined Planned Parenthood? In cities run by one political party for decades – such as Baltimore, Chicago, Detroit, Los Angeles and San Francisco – who could have imagined them becoming places to avoid?
In a nation founded on the principles of the word of God, who could imagine our political leaders, and some of our clergy, denying what God proclaims good, and promoting what God calls immoral? That’s what evil does! To think that our almighty creator needed our help in defining what constitutes” marriage” is us playing God.
Marriage is between a man and a woman only. Also, there are only two genders. We can pretend otherwise, but, do we really want to challenge the author of truth?
There is a way to stop this parade of evil campaigning across our country.
“Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man. For God will bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing (or open thing) whether good or evil,” (Ecclesiastes 12:13-14).
