To the Editor:
And I thought the people elected to the city councils were the leaders of the communities they were elected to represent. Why didn't the city council just say no to three more vape shops in McHenry instead of lifting a moratorium.
If I read the news correctly, in print and the internet, wasn't vaping causing problems or future problems to the lungs? Why are we moving backward? If long-term vaping is causing problems then the taxpayer will have to foot the bills of the persons who can't afford medical care when they enter long care hospitalization. But if the city council says it's OK to open vape shops, it must be OK to vape.
