Here is the 2019 Northwest Herald Boys Golf All-Area team:

FIRST TEAM
Truman Keppy, McHenry, sr.
Keppy advanced to the Class 3A state tournament for the third straight year and tied for sixth, firing a 73-73-146 and beating his ninth-place finish as a junior. He tied for second at regionals with a 77, leading the Warriors to a regional title, and was runner-up at sectionals with a 72. Keppy, who will play at NCAA Division I Stetson, took third at the Fox Valley Conference Tournament with a 73 and finished runner-up in the end-of-season FVC points standings. — FIRST TEAM

Klutke made his state debut and tied for ninth at the Class 3A tournament, recording a two-day total of a 79-70-149. He fired a personal-best, 3-under-par 68 for medalist honors at regionals, and tied for 10th at sectionals with a 76. Klutke was fifth at the FVC Tournament with a 76 and fourth in the end-of-season FVC points standings.

John Lishchynsky, Crystal Lake South, sr.

Lishchynsky, the 2019 Northwest Herald Boys Golfer of the Year, helped lead the Gators to the Class 2A state tournament for the second year in a row and tied for 15th individually with a 75-77-152. The senior was medalist at regionals (71) and sectionals (69) and finished runner-up at the FVC Tournament (72). Lishchynsky was first in the FVC end-of-season points standings.

Will Stewart, Crystal Lake South, jr.

Stewart tied for 15th at the Class 2A state tournament with a 72-80-152 as South was seventh in the team standings. The Gators captured regional and sectional titles. Stewart tied for fourth at regionals (75) and was fourth at sectionals (74). He posted a 1-under 70 to earn medalist honors at the FVC Tournament. The Gators won their second straight FVC title, with Stewart finishing third in the end-of-season points standings.
