Rachel Pahl tossed in 13 of her game-high 27 points in the fourth quarter as Alden-Hebron defeated Hiawatha, 45-40, in their Northeastern Athletic Conference girls basketball game Monday at Hebron.
The Giants (2-5) led, 28-19, heading into the fourth quarter, but the Hawks got hot from behind the 3-point arc, hitting four 3s and scoring 21 points. Pahl made four field goals and was 5 of 6 on free throws, scoring 13 of A-H’s 17 in the fourth.
Kendra Cashmore added eight points for the Giants, who did not have a 3. Pahl was 9 of 10 at the line for the game.
