To the Editor:
Testing is our only option.
If we hope to control this virus in our population, and restart our society before a vaccine arrives, mandatory widespread testing is the only way.
Finding those that test positive and have no symptoms (asyms) is the most critical. Those people pose an incredible risk to the rest of us even while the virus does them no visible harm.
They must be quarantined despite their relative health until they pose no risk of spread. Quarantining the actually ill is simple, trust me, I know.
The current sItuation of testing only first responders, celebrities, and coffin dodgers, is untenable.If you cannot measure a problem, how do craft a measured response?
