To the Editor:
I want to commend Joan Oliver for writing the best article on dealing with difficult times. Her wisdom on not being fearful about situations was such a testimonial on the power of positive thinking. Being fearful and not moving forward just delays the eventual outcome. Fear does nothing to alleviate the situation. It only adds unnecessary burden.
But as. Ms Oliver advises, going forward is the only way to move on.
Psalm 23 in the Bible talks about “ though I walk through the valley of death.“ It does not say camp in the valley, or live in the valley, but it does say as I go through the valley. Just as Ms Oliver describes.
I live by the motto “this too shall pass.” And guess what? It always does.
