Harvard Parks and Recreation announced that the Harvard Aquatic Center will be closed for the rest of 2020.
Parks and Recreation Superintendent Ryan Knop said the aquatic center would not be able to safely operate with the state's current social distancing orders, gathering sizes and personal protective equipment requirements.
"While this decision was not taken lightly, the Parks and Recreation board unanimously agreed at the May 18, 2020, virtual park board meeting that due to the current guidelines of the state, it is not feasible to open our aquatic center this year," Knop said in a news release dated May 19.
Huntley announced Monday that the Stingray Bay Family Aquatic Center was closed for the remainder of 2020. Woodstock announced May 7 that Woodstock Water Works Aquatic Center will be closed for the rest of the year.
