To the Editor:
I want to thank all who have sent well wishes upon hearing of the positive developments in my personal life, including my plans to marry and move to a new home.
This time is bittersweet. I am obviously excited for this next chapter of my life, but also saddened that it marks the end of my time as a member and president of the Huntley Community School District 158 Board of Education.
As a point of clarification, while moving my residence outside of the Huntley 158 district boundaries, I will maintain my law practice in Huntley and remain an active part and supporter of the Huntley 158 community.
I am blessed to have been a small part of the towering accomplishments that the District has achieved. I continue to be amazed at how this District has turned innovative ideas into reality, all with the common goal of serving all students, always. I have made lifelong friends with fellow Board members, past and present, members of the administration and the incredible certified and support staff that make this the destination district it is.
My respect and admiration for the education community here is the highest it can be. I will continue to be a part of what I am certain is the best public education system in the State and will continue to champion what is happening here in Huntley, my adopted hometown.
Michael J. Fleck
President, Huntley 158 Board of Education
