McHenry County Sheriff's Office continues investigation of Woodstock-area stabbing

The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate a stabbing that occurred early Sunday in an unincorporated area near Woodstock.

The situation began Sunday when officers responded at 12:12 a.m. to the 100 block of South Queen Anne Road.

Deputies arrived and discovered two people with stab wounds and additional two people who had been struck by a vehicle while others fled the area, according to a news release the sheriff’s office sent Monday.

The alleged stabbing appears to be an isolated situation that presents no known threat to the public, according to the release.

The two people who suffered stab wounds were taken to nearby hospitals and later flown to level one trauma centers, according to the release.

One of the two people struck by a vehicle has since been released from the hospital, while the other was evaluated at the scene, according to the release.

Anyone with information about the investigation can call the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office Investigation Division at 815-334-4750.
