The McHenry County Department of Public Health reported 86 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 and one additional death Monday.
The county's latest death because of COVID-19 was a man in his 70s, according to the department.
The new counts bring the countywide total to 2,968 confirmed cases, 113 related deaths and two probable deaths as of Monday evening. The county's recovery rate currently is 95%.
McHenry County residents have undertaken 41,253 COVID-19 tests since the pandemic began, according to county-specific data collected by the Illinois Department of Public Health.
On Monday, the Kane County Health Department reported a total of 9,330 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 299 deaths.
The Lake County Health Department reported a total of 12,101 confirmed cases and 427 deaths.
Statewide, the IDPH reported a total of 183,241 confirmed cases and 7,526 related deaths as of Monday evening. So far, Illinois has conducted a total of 2,806,797 COVID-19 tests. The statewide recovery rate is 95%.
Among McHenry County ZIP codes, Woodstock (60098) has seen the highest number of COVID-19 cases with a total of 484 confirmed cases, according to county data. Woodstock is closely followed by Crystal Lake (60014) with 471 cases.
