Police have issued a warrant for the arrest of a 20-year-old Pennsylvania woman accused of luring a Woodstock teenager into her car shortly before the boy's parents reported him missing.
Lilandra L. Redman and 15-year-old Brandon Boring had communicated with one another since they met in an online chat room a few years ago, Woodstock Deputy Police Chief Jeffrey Parsons said.
Now Redman is accused of luring Boring into her vehicle on Aug. 2, the same day the teenager's parents reported him missing. On Aug. 3, investigators found Boring safe in Pennsylvania and he was reunited with his family, police have said.
Parsons declined to comment on additional details Thursday evening, citing an ongoing investigation and anticipated arrest.
Redman, of the 600 block of Reno Street, Rochester, is charged with child abduction – a felony typically punishable by one to three years in prison, court records show. The warrant for Redman's arrest lists a $20,000 bond, court records show.
Boring was reported missing on Aug. 2. That morning, his parents say they found a note in Boring's handwriting indicating that he'd gone to New York with a woman named Jessica.
Officers located Boring in Pennsylvania the following day.
