Prairie Ridge's Levi Wagner shot a 36 as the Wolves held off Crystal Lake Central, 155-158, in their Fox Valley Conference boys golf dual Tuesday at Chalet Hills in Cary.
Eddie Winkelmann added a 39 for Prairie Ridge, followed by Charlie Pettrone (40) and Joe Pokonosky (40).
Eric Klutke had the low round of the dual for the Tigers with a 35. Bayden Hubacher added a 37, followed by Christian Wakeford (39) and Quinn Hankins (47).
Huntley 170, McHenry 176: At Pinecrest in Huntley, Danny Sheedy's 38 led the Red Raiders to the FVC dual win over the Warriors. Josh Good had a 41 for Huntley, Cole Modrich had a 44, and Cole Frederick and Tanner Jensen added 47s.
Brody Glauser had a 43 to lead McHenry, followed by Sam Huff (44), Will Currie (44) and Max Bogenski (45).
Crystal Lake South 160, Cary-Grove 185: At Foxford Hills in Cary, Will Stewart posted an even-par 36 for the Gators in an FVC dual win over the Trojans. Ricky Falbo and Bryce Sturm had 40s, and Nate Stewart had a 44.
Tom Fornelli led C-G with a 45, followed by Ryan Weaver (46), Joey Vitullo (47) and Dylan Turner (47).
Woodstock North co-op 188, Harvard 208: At Abbey Springs in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, Brad Arnold had a 44 for North co-op in the Kishwaukee River Conference dual win over the Hornets. Luke Trewyn, Aidan Sivore and Jake Murray each added 48s.
Harvard was led by Jake Chupich with a 49. Logan Garafol had a 50, Myles Brincks had a 53 and Caden Scott added a 56.
Carmel 172, Marian Central 177: At Pine Meadow in Mundelein, Marian Central's Dylan Yegge had a 40 for the Hurricanes in the East Suburban Catholic Conference loss. Griffin Sahr matched Yegge with a 40 for Carmel.
Owen Jager had a 44, Joseph Louise had a 46 and Mason Schwalbach added a 47 for Marian.
Jacobs 5, Hampshire 2: At Hampshire, Chloe Siegfort (No. 1 singles) and Lara Santa-Ines (No. 2 singles) each won, 6-0, 6-0, for the Golden Eagles in the FVC dual victory over the Whip-Purs.
Bryn Reicha (No. 3 singles), Kaya Trumbo and Ihsa Desai (No. 1 doubles), and Lissie Kontos and Anya Wieczorek (No. 3 doubles) each won in straight sets for Jacobs.
Hampshire's Taylor Sweet and Lauren Marckini won, 5-7, 6-3, 10-4, at No. 2 doubles. Katrina Vergara and Evelyn Renaldi won in straight sets at No. 4 doubles.
Huntley 7, McHenry 0: At Huntley, the Red Raiders swept the Warriors in their season-opening FVC dual. Ruhi Gulati (No. 1 singles), Michelle Barnvos and Kylie Phommasack (No. 1 doubles), and Talia Duffy and Dyllan Cash (No. 2 doubles) all won their matches, 6-0, 6-0.
Elaina Hibbeler (No. 2 singles), Alessandra Rivera (No. 3 singles), Kareena Patel and Sunni Kwon (No. 3 doubles) and Aera Chong and Ela Hontanosas (No. 4 doubles) added straight-set victories for Huntley (5-0, 1-0).
Cary-Grove 6, Crystal Lake South 1: At Cary, the Trojans’ Sara Greenwald battled Lizzy Sudbrook for a 5-7, 6-4, 6-4 victory at No. 1 singles as C-G picked up the FVC dual victory.
C-G won three of the four pivotal three-set matches for the team win. Annabella Gaffaney won in three sets at No. 3 singles, and Lexie Soltis and Chloe Warner won in three sets at No. 4 doubles for the Trojans.
The Gators’ Gwenn Moran won in three sets at No. 2 singles. The Trojans’ other wins came at No. 1 doubles (Katie Larry and Katie Jannusch), No. 2 doubles (Mary Greenwald and Chloe Sorensen) and No. 3 doubles (Nicki Carpatiuc and Brooke Iverson).
Crystal Lake Central 5, Prairie Ridge 2: At Crystal Lake, the host Tigers beat their crosstown rivals to begin the FVC season. Ellie McGinnis (No. 1), Natalia Piekunko (No. 2) and Maggie Naughton (No. 3) each won their singles matches in straight sets.
The Tigers also picked up wins from Grace Cullian and Annika Richard (No. 3 doubles) and Megan Rapisarda and Olivia Johnson (No. 4 doubles).
Prairie Ridge's wins came from Renee Crawley and Aleena Ciezak, 6-1, 3-6, 11-9, at No. 1 doubles, and Breanna Pollack and Caidyn Sylvester at No. 2 doubles.
Cary-Grove 77.5, McHenry 63.5: At McHenry, Cary-Grove's Emily Marks swam to first-place finishes in the 200-yard freestyle (2:10.58) and 50 free (27.20) to lead the Trojans to the FVC dual win to open their season Monday. Lizzy Fournier won the 100 butterfly (1:07.36), and Maddie Dolezal won the 500 free (5:55.90) for C-G.
McHenry's Melisa Nava won three individual races, placing first in the 200 IM (2:23.37), 100 free (58.75) and 100 backstroke (1:05.69). Reilly Byron added a win in the 100 breaststroke (1:20.23) for the Warriors.
Huntley 165, Burlington Central 173: At Pinecrest in Huntley, Lorelei Oomens shot her second straight 36 for the Red Raiders in their FVC dual win Monday. Molly Baker and Kendall Krich had 42s, and Nina Shaffer added a 45 for Huntley.
Kelsey O'Connor had a 37 to lead the Rockets, followed by Maya Gusciora (42), Emily Koh (44) and Emily Ahlers (50).
