To the Editor:
My family and I support keeping Judge Justin Hansen on the McHenry County Circuit Court.
Judge Hansen is a family man, and he serves the people of McHenry County in a family court. I have personally known Judge Hansen to be a person of high integrity, which is the most important trait I am looking for in a judge.
His background is not in politics, but in service to others. He was an attorney for small businesses, individuals and some of our local municipalities.
Before that, he served at the Task Force on Family Violence, a non-profit organization that provides services to victims of domestic violence. He helped pilot a program to provide training to law enforcement, child protection services, school personnel and social workers on the effects of children witnessing domestic violence.
Currently, Judge Hansen serves on local non-profit boards and volunteers to help teach civics education at area schools.
This experience and service gives him perspective and experience that be brings to his family law courtroom. He is aware that his decisions impact the lives of families throughout McHenry County and he accepts that responsibility.
Judge Hansen treats people the right way, ensures that everyone gets their day in court, and will make the tough decisions that the law requires. These attributes make him a good judge and a judge that will serve our community well for years to come.
We hope you join us in supporting Judge Justin Hansen on Tuesday, Nov. 3.
