To the Editor:
Some people believe that all politicians are self-interested and dishonest. I do not believe that.
Some politicians believe that they alone can “fix it,” whatever that “it” is. I do not believe that either.
Some politicians talk; some listen. I favor those who listen before they talk.
And that’s why I support Suzanne Ness for state representative from District 66.
Suzanne knows how to listen, whether she’s serving on the McHenry County Board or as a life coach. She has proven her willingness to listen by holding town hall meetings both in person and virtually and has spoken to numerous constituents on the phone—constituents with differing points of view.
Suzanne Ness has never believed that she can fix anything by herself. She is willing to do the work. Yes, I said “work,” with people on the other side of an issue, with politicians on the other side of the aisle.
She is also willing to search for the truth, as elusive as that can be. She is willing to seek efforts for positive change making—to read, to discuss, to listen.
Suzanne Ness will be a fresh face in Springfield but she will be nobody’s pawn. Please choose her to represent you in Springfield.
