A two-vehicle crash in Spring Grove led to one vehicle going into the creek Wednesday evening on Route 12 and Solon Road, fire officials said.
Captain Dean Jordan of the Spring Grove Fire Department said they were called out to the scene about 6 p.m.
One vehicle had gone off the road and down the embankment into the creek, Jordan said.
Two people, the drivers of each vehicle, were taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, Richmond Fire Chief Henry Gruba said. His agency also responded to the incident.
Route 12 was shut down until 8:15 p.m., Jordan said.
Gruba said the Jeep that went into the creek descended between 30 and 35 feet from the roadway. He described the Jeep driver's injuries as "moderate."
"Both people are very fortunate," Gruba said.
