After years of serving the company as a stage director, stage manager and set designer, Roberts was named artistic director and resident director in 2013.

For the Oct. 9 interview, Roberts and Travolta are scheduled to discuss Roberts’ unique directing style, which has led Music On Stage to be described as one of the top-tier theater companies in the suburban Chicago area, the release stated. Roberts also will give advice to young directors and actors starting out in the business. Additionally, Travolta and Roberts will discuss how the current COVID-19 pandemic has affected live theater as we know it.

The Roberts interview is part of a comprehensive series of discussions Travolta is having with representatives of different professions within the entertainment industry. For his “Grow With a Pro” interview series on the radio program, Travolta has interviewed entertainment professionals ranging from headshot photographers to fight choreographers.
