A 22-year-old McHenry man pleaded guilty to unlawful delivery of a controlled substance Friday after selling hallucinogens to undercover police officers on several occasions, according to a news release from the McHenry County State's Attorney's Office.

William Sicca III was sentenced to five years in prison by McHenry County Judge Michael Coppedge, according to the release.

He sold hallucinogenic drugs, including 59 grams of psilocybin mushrooms on March 9, to undercover officers multiple times, according to the release. Officers found more illegal narcotics at Sicca's residence after executing a search warrant.

The case was investigated by members of the Illinois State Police North Central Narcotics Task Force and was prosecuted by Brian Miller with the state's attorney's office, according to the release.
