Letter: Reick will fix DCFS issues

To the Editor:

My wife and I moved into this county in 1968 and reading about the problems with the Department of Children and Family Services seem to continue unabated. AJ Freund is the latest in an unending tale of heart break and tragedy.

Steve Reick, who is running for re-election as the state representative for the 63rd District, has taken over responsibility for finally fixing this travesty of justice.

Before you vote in the upcoming election, I urge you to visit his website (steve463.com) and view his ideas on how to correct the current system. When you get to his website, click "Categories," then "Child Welfare" to read his ideas.

He has written House Bill 4886 and hopes to secure passage as soon as the legislature is called back into session. He has co-sponcers on both sides of the aisle.

If he loses this election, there is a good chance the DCFS problems will not be fixed any time soon. A vote for Steve Reick is the first step to fix this mess.
