To the Editor:
It is not often that voters have the opportunity to actually observe the leadership qualities of a presidential candidate. In 2020, however, that was not the case as our President twice had the opportunity to demonstrate to the American people his ability to lead in a crisis.
On the first occasion, the President – when he learned just how deadly the virus was – he failed to inform the American people for 10 crucial days.
On the second occasion, it was after the President was released from from the hospital and he refused to encourage people to wear masks and practice social distancing. Instead, he traveled around the country holding rallies in which many in the crowds were jammed together and were unmasked.
When the President had the opportunity to demonstrate his leadership qualities, he failed miserably.
