Cary yoga studio moves to new, larger location

A downtown Cary yoga studio has moved to a new larger location that will allow the business to expand in the future, according to a news release.

I Heart Yoga, which relocated to 835 Feinberg Court, Suite 120, in Cary, was established in 2017 by owner, Angie Berthelsen, at the original location in downtown Cary, according to a news release issued by the Cary-Grove Area Chamber of Commerce.

Berthelsen started I Heart Yoga because she loves teaching and passionately believes that anyone can practice yoga, regardless of age, weight or gender, according to the release. She has practiced yoga for eight years and other forms of exercise for over a decade.

She has certifications in prenatal yoga, children’s yoga, trauma sensitive yoga and Thai massage, according to the release. She also is a National Academy of Sports Medicine certified personal trainer and is currently working on a master’s degree in kinesiology.

“I love getting the opportunity to connect with people, hear their stories and remind them that they are amazing, capable people,” Berthelsen said in the release. “I can help them feel better not just physically but mentally. I find it hard to express in words how much joy I get watching my students grow.”
