Raue Center for the Arts is pleased to announce the successful reopening of its doors and the continuation of its longest-running program, Lucy's Comedy! The second installment of Lucy's LIVE will star Chicago's own Mike Toomey, and will feature comedian Fritz Nothnagel for two hilarious shows on August 8, 2020 at 7:00 and 9:00 p.m.
Comedian Mike Toomey is a regular performer on WGN Morning News, and has appeared in concert with George Carlin, Wayne Newton, and Reba McIntyre. He has performed on numerous television programs, including HBO's U.S. Comedy Arts Festival and MTV's Half Hour Comedy Hour. Toomey's sharp delivery and quick wit have made him a favorite at comedy clubs and special events for nearly 30 years. Toomey is also the creator and star of the hilarious one-person show TV and Me, which enjoyed a highly successful run at Chicago's Apollo Theater.
The Chicago Tribune calls Toomey "one of the funniest and most talented performers to ever work in Chicago". His dead-on impersonations and PG-rated style are great for anyone needing a hearty laugh. "We're excited to welcome Mike Toomey back to our stage," said Richard Kuranda, Executive Director of Raue Center. "Mike's outstanding comedy with Bob Saget, TV and Me, and other shows have made him one of Chicagoland's most recognizable comics."
Fritz Nothnagel is the funniest man you've never heard of. A midwest boy with a global sense of humor and a quick wit at a laid-back pace, Nothnagel's sharp sense of sarcasm has been delighting audiences since 1999.
Official state mandates require each performance to be capped at 50 people to maintain safe social distancing. Patrons can purchase up to 4 tickets per live event order. Masks are required when entering the space and throughout your stay. The virtual ticket option is a terrific way to stay home and enjoy Lucy's LIVE. For tickets, contact:
