Raue Center for the Arts is pleased to announce another terrific installment of Lucy's Comedy LIVE on Saturday, November 7th at 7:00 p.m., starring comedians Jeanie Doogan and Jim Flannigan!
Jeanie Doogan began her comedy career at age five, learning quickly that as the youngest of eight children, telling jokes at the family dinner table was a great way to get attention. Since that early debut, Jeanie has entertained audiences at colleges, casinos, and corporate events, and is a regular at Zanies Comedy Club, The Laugh Factory, and The Comedy Bar, among other venues. She was highlighted in Chicago Parent Magazine's "Four of Chicago's Funniest: Stand-up Parents", and was featured on Nick Jr.'s "Moms' Night Out" debut stand-up comedy special.
Doogan's quick observations and no-apologies take on teaching, parenthood, and American culture set her apart. Her sharp wit draws on her experiences growing up on the south side of Chicago and from teaching in public schools for 15 years.
Jim Flannigan is a popular comedian and a Chicago native. In the last year, he was invited to perform at the prestigious Boston Comedy Festival, Gilda's LaughFest, and The Great American Comedy Festival, which honors Johnny Carson. Flannigan also co-hosts the official Chicago White Sox podcast and The Cycle, available on mlb.com and iTunes.
"This show offers two headliners, Jeanie Doogan and Jim Flannigan, for the price of one!" said John DaCosse, curator and host of Lucy's Comedy for Raue Center. "Come celebrate St. Patty's Day 2020 with us on November 7th, for the postponed St. Patrick's Day comedy show."
Due to state mandates, both performances are capped at 50 people. Masks are required and social distancing will be enforced, among other safety protocols. If you ’ re unsure about attending a live event, a virtual ticket is the perfect way to enjoy the show from home.
