From a variety of tribute bands to a fantastic play that has been extremely popular across the U.S., Raue Center has something for everyone during the month of March. Think Floyd USA leads off on Friday, March 6th at 8:00 p.m. with a full-production tribute performance to Pink Floyd. The energetic and extremely talented cast, along with mesmerizing lights and video, will delight fans of the classic British band by featuring hits like "Wish You Were Here" and "Comfortably Numb".
On Saturday, March 7th at 8:00 p.m., Laurel Canyon Band will perform an acoustic tribute to the music of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. Songs from the early and solo years will be featured, along with their seminal works. "It's with great enthusiasm that I invite you to Raue Center for an evening with the iconic songs of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young," said Board President Tim Paul. "These tunes are a true art form, and Laurel Canyon Band brings this music to life."
An Irish Heartbeat: a Musical Tribute to Van Morrison will perform on Saturday, March 14th at 8:00 p.m. This incredible show pays homage to one of the most original of artists, Van Morrison. The hits from his 55-year career will be performed by a 10-piece band featuring singer/harpist Derrick Procell. "With 'An Irish Heartbeat', Raue Center will celebrate the times and music of one of the most original artists in history," added Paul.
Beginning on March 27th and 28th, and continuing through April and early May, Williams Street Repertory will present "Native Gardens", a terrific comedic play where friendly neighbors become feuding enemies. When a questionable fence line puts a prize-worthy garden in jeopardy, the rivalry becomes an all-out border dispute, challenging everyone's notions of race, privilege, and class.
